I just got a 95 maro, strangely enough it has the exact same scratch on the windshield as my older one (like something got caught in the wiper blade). Anyway, we got a kit to fix the scratches from Eastwood but the grinder wheels in the kit left some nasty scratches. I spent about five hours trying to buff the scratches out but it's a very slow process. Any suggestions for a glass polish or should I just suck it up and keep buffing?

get glass insurance and then just throw a rock through it LOL just kidding about the rock but I would recommend glass insurance I have been through 3 windshields in as many years mine has the scratches on it also but just on the tip of the wiper. I wuould probably just foot for a new windshield they are expensive but a lot easier than trying to fix it.Remember that sometimes, silence is the best answer.<br />Warren White<br />1996 PoloGreen Coup <a href=\"http://vampyr.settanni.net/\" target=\"_blank\">http://vampyr.settanni.net/</a> <br />\"Jealousy\"<br /> CTFBA member of the month Sept 03

What kind of stuff are you using with the buffer? Rain-x has some good polisg that takes out light stuff, but I don't know how deep yours are.UAH FSAE<br />Chief Engineer<br /> <a href=\"http://chargermotorsports.com\" target=\"_blank\">http://chargermotorsports.com</a> <br /> <a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/camaronat\" target=\"_blank\">http://members.cardomain.com/camaronat</a>

Well the buffing basically worked to take out most of the scratches and I was using the polishing compound that came with the Eastwood kit. Overall it worked but I would just be very careful with the coarser grit wheel they give you because that was the troublemaker. I think if you are really bothered by your scratches (and you dont want to deal with insurance or buying a new windshield) the kit was worthwhile.1991 Camaro 3.1 RS<br />K&N fipk<br />Flowmaster 80 series<br /><br />1995 Camaro 3.4 <br />Magnaflow catback...

I have scratches like you are talking about too but I have 3 claw like ones on my drivers side window. I have heard that getting your windows buffed could take them out. I'm still asking around though. I just got my windows tinted and they show up alot better now, so I am gonna have to get something done.
