My new hood

A few months ago my baby got hurt in a rear ending incident with a gmc enovy. Gave me a good reason to shell out money for a aftermarket, got a great deal 320 total on a glasstek 4 inch cowl. So here's some pics of the install, note the hood isn't painted yet and yea, the car is a lil dirty...but i was really excited...so i took the pics as soon as the hood was on right..here they are...enjoy

Looks alright, needs paint. j/k, lol. Seriously it will look good with some paint. I'm not into the cowl thing myself but it will be sweet.

BTW, do you even have wheels on that thing? They just blend right on in.

naptown...yea..i did...the clear coated melted, blah. gonna try again /w engine clear.

Gerry, well thats kinda the point, but normally the rims would be shiny and the tires would be glossed up. She's not looking her best in the pics, but i love black on black. And black rims make my yellow calipers stand out.

When the calipers dont' have caked on caliper dust.

i love cowl hoods on camaros!! theres one here with a 3" cowl, the real tall 3 piece wing adn its lowered...its looks so dang mean!!

3 inch would be better than my 4 inch, good thing I'm tall so I can still see over the hood.

I like the hood! But those black wheels don't look that good! I think chrome would look awesome!

Not a huge fan of chrome, acutually here in the next few months i'll be springing for 17x9.5 front, and 17x11 rears in the zr1 grand sport
The Rims I want:

IMO thats a hell of a lot cleaner than chrome

I love my chrome [img]tongue.gif[/img] ...and no his wheels arent spray painted, they're powder coated....why do you guys keep givin him so much **** for his car?....have you even seen the interior??....

edit: oh ya love the hood [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] ..I want one too, but I just painted racing stripes on my car, so a new hood wont be happening for a very long while, or until an accident..which I pray never happens [img]smile.gif[/img]

You gotta get that clearcoat on there man...its a good idea but not without a clearcoat...id recommend a polished lip too..

nikon -- haha, i got my hood because of an rear ending incident. could never justify getting a new hood when i had a prefectly good one, when I messed up the hood, i had a reason to get one :D

The hood is awesome, I mean even when I had a stock hood I got lots of attention and people giving me props on my car...since i got the hood, seems like everyone and there mother wants to race me and tell me how much they like my car.

MW2 -- If you mean the grand sports by GS, yea..thats the one i'm gonna get, polished lip and gloss black spokes...I just love that look, just relized the pic of the black zr1'z has no lip..I still like how it looks, but the lip will help sepearte the black rims from the black tires :cool:

edit : I could car less if people give me **** for my car...funny thing is, weither they want to admit it or not, my car would and does get a heck of a lot more attention, props, etc then there's every could looking like how they do....whats up with that?
