• How Do i get off the Writing on the Center peice Tailights???

Hey guys, the "Firebird" and the firebird logo are starting to fade away in the back in betweeen the tailights, plus i have a white theme going on my car and would like to put new decals in place of them....i remember reading a long time ago of someone sanding and polishing it off.....how do i go about doing this??

    thanks...

Rear Filler - I had the faded red (pink) letters when I bought my car so I wanted to fix that right away. What I did was remove the factory lettering all together and replace them with a pewter metallic bird and "Formula" decal. You'll need 1500-2000 grit wet sandpaper and 3M Fine-Cut rubbing compound. Wet sand the tail filler to remove the paint and the raised area. It will take about 15-20 minutes of sanding. You'll be left with a very dull tail filler. Now take the 3M rubbing compound and follow the directions on the bottle ). You may need to go over the piece several times till it gets nice and shiny again. Some people leave the tailfiller blank or you can do what I did and apply decals. I also lightly sprayed mine with some clear because everytime I would wash/dry/polish the car the decal edges would lift up.
