I have had my tail light covers on for over 2 years and haven't had a single problem and have been pulled over several times...in fact...one more ticket in the next six months and my drivers license goes bye-bye.

I had black outs on my camaro for about a year, I never got pulled over for them but they are illegal here in TN. The reason I took mine off is because the tail light covers caused my tail lights to melt. On each tail light I had a sunk in spot as big around as a baseball. Luckily the dealer replaced them under warranty though.
