• UPDATE 6/1/04 durability of zaino over 3.5 months...(pics)

1st, no I do not think my car is all that and I am not trying to post pics to inflate my ego so don't start a petty battle, you know who you are if you are reading this.

Alright, awhile back I made a thread showing the durability of zaino...

    http://www.camarov6.com/ubb/ultimate...=006496#000000

Its been a little over a month later and I went out and hosed my car down and wiped my rims down with a rag. I used no wheel cleaners, just wiped them down with a rag.

My rims I zainoed in mid January. I have yet to use a wheel cleaner chemical on them since.

As for my car, I did a full zaino treatment on Valentine's day weekend 2004. I have washed the car twice in that time, using Z7. Other then that I have not washed with soap, used any sort of Zaino, or any other chemical other then water.

I do hose the car down occasionally, mainly to get the dust off. I tired a california duster, but my car is 100% outside and I think the humid florida weatehr makes it work like crap. When I hose it down I do not dry it, I cruise down the road and "air dry" it.

Either way pics I took today...
June 1st, 2004. Car was last zainoed Feb 14th, 2004, 3.5 months ago.

Notice the truck AC repair truck being reflected off above the rear wheels. You can also see my grill and tires are hurting for a palstic/rubber treatment.

An up close reflection pic of the car.

I will admit the car doesn't feel that smooth after the hose downs, its much better after a wash but the car is starting to not be as smooth. Water still beads up perfect though.

yeah it could use it... lost a little bit of the shine from february...

also It needs a good washing, I have gotten alot of bugs and bird crap on it in the last month, needs a little more then a hose down.

I think I am jsut gonna do a another whole detailing since Zaino layers and only gets better

Eric , can you do Zaino Z2 without doing the Z1?I bought some Z2 and had no idea you were to use Z1 first. Can I still put the Z2 on without the Z1

nope... you need either to put Z1 on first, or mix ZFX with the Z2. At least what I have been told...

try asking around here... I know a decent amount about zaino but I am not the expert...
