I have some swirl marks on my car, they are from the towel I used to wax my car (although I used the towel that came with the electric buffer). My question is will the swirl remover also remove the wax? If so, I don't think it would be worth it for me, the swirls are only noticeable if you are inches away from the car (and even then, it's not bad). I have seen products like Meguires and Turtle Wax Swirl and Scratch remover, how do those work? Any recommendation for products? I would prefer a product I could buy at the store rather than buying online. Thanks.

I believe so because if your trying to remove swirls the're under the wax and the're on the paint. Therefore if you want to remove the swirls you need to remove the wax to get to the swirls.
I didn't have many swirls on my red camaro, but I did have some so I used Meguiar's swirl remover. I then added a coat of Meguiar's show car glaze, and then I added a coat of Meguiar's deep crystal polish. After all the polishing I put two coats of Meguiar's deep crystal carnauba wax on it (the more the better). After all of that I put a coat of Meguiar's Gold Class on the car. The carnauba seems to add a deep wet look to the car, and the Gold Class gives it a real nice mirror look. If you don't park in a garage it's best to do it all in one day, or at least get up to one coat of carnauba wax on the car then wash your car and start were you left off the next day. If you do keep your car in a garage and don't drive it around you can just wipe your car off with Meguiar's quick detailer the next day and continue on. After all that and waxing it once a week with the Gold Class and putting two coats of the carnauba wax on it once a month, it makes it difficult to see swirl marks. It takes a lot of work, but the end results and the stares from people checking your car out are worth it.
The only place I found the swirl remover was at Pep Boy's. Everything else is sold just about anywhere.
This is the best picture I have to show you the shine on my car.

Thanks for the information. I'll have to give those products a try. By the way, I couldn't view the pictures, 2000 camaro, I think you have to make your album viewable to all rather than a private album. My 1991 Firebird - 3.1L V6 with custom K&N CAI, Flowmaster, Sony CD, MTX 4-ch amp, 2 MTX 10\" subs, Sony & Polk speakers, Eagle Wheels

My 1997 Firebird Trans Am with T-Tops, Panasonic CD, Alpine Speakers, MagnaFlow Exhaust, and Lingenfelter CAI.

Wow, your car looks really nice! You're right, all that work was worth it. I've tried just about all the products out there and I think that 3M's scratch and swirl removal works great. After washing and shampooing the car with Mequire's shampoo, I apply a coat of this and afterwards I would polish it with Mequire's Gold Class or 3M's High Gloss (Both are equally good). Since the car is black, the swirl is lot less noticeable.
Say, I followed your footstep and took the 89 bird to Earl Scheib yesterday and will have it back by Monday. It's getting the same color which is black. They only charged $430 with the stage 2. I was going to have it done in Riverside, Chicago Street but instead went to Costa Mesa because it is closer to where my bro. lives and it can be picked up easily.
If it looks good I think I might take the other bird there and have the hood and front painted. The rock chip is very noticeable. Thanks.

Ok, thanks for your suggestion. I'll have to go to the store and see what I can find.
I hope your bird turns out good. Post pictures when you get it back if you can. I think you'll like it though, I have had 2 paint jobs from Earl Scheib and both turned out great, and no one else could come close to the price. My 1991 Firebird - 3.1L V6 with custom K&N CAI, Flowmaster, Sony CD, MTX 4-ch amp, 2 MTX 10\" subs, Sony & Polk speakers, Eagle Wheels

My 1997 Firebird Trans Am with T-Tops, Panasonic CD, Alpine Speakers, MagnaFlow Exhaust, and Lingenfelter CAI.
