I want to paint my stock alluminum wheels gloss black...like the C/E wheels except with a black center cap.
Has anyone painted their own wheels? any different of a process than painting any other part of the car?
End results? PICTURES?!?!
TIA
Adam

I've painted my wheels black. I sanded them down and sprayed them black. I didnt even clear coat them and so far NO CHIPS. Ive got pics if you wanna see what it looks like. Lemme know.
eww dont' do that. everyone will know that you didn't spend the money on black wheels and just painted them instead...very cheap looking! please don't do it!

You can Swing by my place ANYTIME to view my wheels. Or you check out the pics if you want. They actually dont look very cheap at all. The Anniversary T/A wheels are only powdercoated T/A wheels. Not only that GM has before PAINTEDsome of thier wheels before. As long as its a quality job it will look quite nice.

I originally had the white anniverary wheels, they sucked so bad, so I painted them silver, no probs whatsoever. Now that I have chrome, I'm painting them black & selling on ebay, it looks good if you take your time.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
