In all honesty, I must admit that the shine is something to brag about. I did my car over a month ago and the shine is still close to 100%. That's about 200 miles on it too. I've always been a Mother's kinda guy, but Zaino is definately making me a believer.

exactly! even if someone thinks the shine is 0.0001% better, nothing lasts as long. Thats why I go apesh|t over the stuff... I am on over 3.5 months and ~5,500 miles and it still looks great.

dudes......OMFG.......i am SUCH an idiot but man this sucks....
              ok...

so last night i get home and eagerly read the directions for zaino application.... i then remove my hood pins and begin applying it to the hood with the Lok stuff..... later that night i come out and obsessively apply it everywhere i feel fit and eventually 80 percent of the car is done! so im happily wipeing everything off with my 100% cotton beach towel and everything looks GREAT except my hood is still smudgy, so i decide to leave it on for the night and get it in the morning... so i sleep and dream about shiney ness and everything and get up this morning (beautiful day btw) and i get up. wipe my hood down and leave the house.... about 4 minutes into my trip into town to go to school at 7:15 or so... i hit 60 mph on the highway and guess what....

              hawky forgot his hood pins.....

yea so the wind catches the hood, flips it up, blows out the hoodstruts, the hood does a 170 degree angle and SMASHES the windshield, glass shatters and hits me everywhere, in the face on the legs and arms, hands... glass dust is everywhere and my ears are ringing from the impact noise (still haunting me 6 hours later..) because the end of the hood is arked, i could see enough to stay in my lane and slamm on my brakes.... skidding to a stop, i pull to the side and the onnlything in my mind is "F**K" and "HOOD PINS".... i am SO lucky to be alive, there were a mass of oncoming cars and I was lucky to even not run head on into them. needless to say my windshield is OBLITERATED.... i had to tie the hood down with a rope (after my dad got there and got ALL pissed) then sadly drove it home going no more than 40 (the glassy sand would fall all over me and get in my eyes.... so i had the windshield repaired by mobilewest or somthing lke that for 240 bucks.... and now i have a mangled hood to deal with..... today SUCKS... im lucky that the rest of the car isnt damaged at all... the windshield wipers took a beating though from the hood totally smashing them.... i F****ed up but man.... this sucks... i need a new hood if anyone has a black stocker laying around from a hood swap that would be willing to sell.... preferably somewhere on the west coast... thanks guys..

                Whoa!

sorry to hear that! That really sucks... makes you feel anybetter I know a ugy who did a rear end swap and 4 disc brake conversion he forgot to tighten one fo the calipers and it came loose and somehow went around the axle, breaking brake lines snapping e-brake cable, and he ended up needing a new caliper.

just a stock hood.... i am kinda happy though to be totally honest...

first off, i got to beat the **** out of it with a hammer to get it SOMEwhat flat-er (also relieved anger) then i learned how to remove a crap load of stuff on my car. also I have an excuse to get a new hood (i was the dude who was the victim of a raised silverado with mud terrains peeling out in the muddy gravel mixture ahead of me... so my hood was chipped to hell anyways) i guess its ok if I can find someone who got a new hood. maybe ill luck out and someone local will sell me a new one for like 50 bucks ;)
