• BEST Way To Remove Swirl Marks/Surface Scratches

I'm sorry, I know this question has been asked 100 times, and I still didnt' find the answer I was looking for on a search so...here it is.

What is the best way to remove swirl marks or surface scratches on a Black Firebird.

My paint is beautiful when the sun isn't directly shining on it, and it's still damn nice when it is, but it seems that I see SO many swirl marks and imperfections in the paint that it physically pains me...no one else seems to notice, but maybe they aren't "looking for it" so to say.

I want to buy Zaino, so I don't know of this 3M stuff. I've heard of orbital buffesr, but I don't know what that entails doing. Any info or input would be lovely.

Thanks guys/gals.

Zaino is good for shine not scratch removal, it's the longest lasting wax you can get. But I wouldn't put it on until after you get those nasty swirls off with some 3M swirl mark remover. Go to the 3M website and check out all the junk they have for cars, it's crazy! The best way to permanently get out those swirls is to use a buffer, I'm actually getting one very soon to use on my black Firebird Don't go nuts and get a $100+ professional detailing one though, Sears sells some cheap ones for around $20-30. They're easy to use, just takes time and effort man. So get the following:

6 or 7" Buffer
3M Scratch/Swirl Mark Remover (based on how bad your paint is, pick a formula)
Zaino Starter Kit

If that doesn't make your car look better than brand new, then something is seriously wrong, might wanna look into getting it repainted!

If someone could point me in the direction of the 3m site that sells the swirl remover...I'd like to remove the swirls and make the paint look as smooth and fine as humanly possible...

Pep-boys carries 3m Swirl Remover for 9.99 in the store if you don't feel like ordering. They also have a 6in or 10in Random orbital buffer for 14.99 with like 6 pads. When I get paid this week I am gonna go pick it up and see what it can do. I have a Black Camaro and there are soo many swirls.
