  • 150mph guage in a v-6

ok i have a question... why couldnt i put a 150 mph guage overlay in a V-6 other than the fact that it wont read right... unless someone know where to get a 97 v-6 firebird white overlay.
    thanks guys.

That would be idiotic to put a gauge that doesnt read right, get the one that you need for your car!! You can get every kind of white/indigo gauges 110MPH.. just what you need

      Go to this thread:

      White gauge overlay

You'll find some links to vendors with white gauge overlays for your vehicle.
Not a problem, just a challenge...

Someone would be desperate enough for white face gauges to do that? If your gonna do that at least buy 150mph gauge cluster.

There are many rumors about this but this is the truth, I found it off of a F-Body Salvage Info site:

Speedometer upgrade - All speedometers with higher readings, such as 140 or 150 mph, are interchangeable with 85 or 115 mph gauges with no alterations, as long as replaced with the same year cluster.

Just buy a whole new Guage cluster....that's the only way

Yeah I've been running the 150mph gauge overlay on my stock cluster. Why? Cause I got the overlay off eBay for 44 bucks. I'm thinking about getting a Z28 cluster, but I have to figure out a way to just get the speedo out of it and into my cluster. Supposedly the tach will be off if you just swap in the whole cluster.

I have purchased a 150mph cluster for my 2000 V6. Why would the Tach be off? Haven't put it in yet. The odometer will be off I know unless you can get a dealer to set it.
