I had mine profesionally installed by Sport Image Motorsports (a local shop) because i have friends that did it themselves and it allways wasnt 100%. Either some of the lights didt line up or the needles got stuck or they were just off balance. When i had mine installed they did a great job and its 100%. Nothings wrong with them

did it myself but I have a 2000...really easy and yes some of the lights dont light up, but thats the gauge overlay itself, nothing a shop could do a bout it...install em yoruself, I dont let anyone install stuff on my car, I like to know how everything goes in and comes out...

yea, overlays are easy..
I've installed them on my sisters eclipse, and a friends civic (I know, big VA, rice capital)

All you do is put the needles faceing straight up and slide the guage overlay overtop, passing the neddles through the holes. Then on the back of the dimmer switch, connect + and - wires from the transformer to + and - on the dimmer. hide wires, make sure the overlay wont move, reasemble dash. Fairly easy, dont pay for it.

If you have a cicuit tester, throw it out, my tester didnt light up when I had it in the right spot with the lights on.

Oh yea, when you're doing the connection, hold them there before you make the splice and make sure they turn on and off with your lights, or fog lights or whatever turns them on.

thinking about it, you could technically use the fog light switch, but the dimmer switch is still probably better. Since you have to take that part of the dash off anyway to get the cluster out, and because the dimmer will still dim/brighten the glow guages hope I've helped

I did mine myself and everything works fine. It's not too tough of a job, but if you're not comfortable with ripping your whole dash apart you should have someone else do it and save yourself the headache.
