• Clear Corners Installtion

On i plan to put clear corners on my car and I was wondering how you get to the lights. Do you go from the top or from the bottom, and what all do I have to do? Like is it a easy thing to do like unscrew the screws and put a new bulb in and put the clear corner in the spot then screw back on? Or is it harder than that? Need some help!!

Thanks

Its very easy, you go from underneath. right below the light underneath the car There is a panel with about 8 bolts and you take that off, you can see it if you look under your car. on the passenger side you have to take off 2 panels but you will understand what im saying when you look underneath. then there is 3 bolts holding the lenses on, you can reach them when you remove the panel, The bulbs are twisted in the lenses just like the ones on the rear tailamps but they just pop out pretty easy. Make sure you dont tighten really hard when you put the new lenses in because you will break off the bolt, and apply rtv black silicone around the lenses and where the bulbs snap into. Also you put the lenses on from BEHIND, not through the front, it slids on from the back and you can tighten from there. If you can jack the car up and put jackstands underneath this will give you more room. Putting the panel back on isnt really hard but it takes a little work to get it back in the right spot.

Well first off welcome to the board, im sure youll be learning alot around here i know i sure did. 2nd of all when you are thinking of asking a question try to usae the search feature first to find a answer. I know this has been discussed in length.

Im assuming u have a Camaro and if not it might be the same for the Birds im not sure. What you do is go underneath your car and unscrew the two panals right under your corner lights and then you will see the lights there will be 3 screws holding the light in if i remeber correctly undo them and pop in the clear ones and put all the screws back in.
sorry for the long post ;)
good luck

It's very easy, took me mabe 30 min to do mine. What you do it look at your headlight assembly. There's a black plastic bracet attached to it. This plastic bracket is held to a black mettal arm with one bolt (10 mm or 9 mm I think, but don't quote me on that one). If you take out this one bolt, then headlamp assembly slides to the side (toward center of car) and (with a little *loving motivation* ;) ) come out entirely. Then you have perfectly clear access to the turnsignal assemblies. There's like 3 bolts holdign them on (two in back, one under). Undo these, more *loving motivation* and the stock signals come out, then just reverse the process and put the new ones in and the headlamps back on. Like I said, it took me and my roommate like 30 min to do. If any of the assemblies don't seem like they're gonna come out, trust me, they will. Good luck. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Rob

Edit:
Ok, well I'm sure you could do it the other ways listed so far, but i didn't want to have to get under the car - I don't have a way to lift it up and didn't want to try to squeeze there. Checked your sig link and saw you have a '02 too, so you should see what I was talking about earlier. Which ever way you choose, good luck with it.

oh yeah, sorry this is so long too... :D

Sorry for any confusion, yes, you go from the top. I wish I had a digital camera...Ok, with the hood open, look at the drivers side headlamp assembly. you'll see a black metal bracket behind it. If you look under the metal bar on top of it, there's a bolt going into a black plastic bracket holding the headlights on. remove that bolt and the headlamps will slide to the side and come out. The turn signals are right there in the now open space and it's pretty much straight forward from there. You just need to make sure you get everything bolted down good when you're done (and don't forget your ratchet under the hood like I did when you're done  ). If this isn't clear enough, I'll try to borrow a digital camera tomorrow and take some pictures to try to clarify things.

Rob

P.S.
Your car looks just like mine - clear turns and billet grill look GOOD on this color IMO. :D
