  • 97+ Tailights on a 93-96

Does anyone know how to wire the taillights so that they will work just as they do on the newer models? This is concerning getting that fifth wire in there to control the blinking. I don't want the brake light to blink, just the orange part. Anyone know?

Yeah, that link is for a purse company. I'm not too sure what a new handbag would do for me and my car.

However, I probably should have mentioned that I drive a camaro, and not a firebird. Sorry for omitting the info.

Last time i checked you could just change the tail lights.but if not just clip off the wire to the bulb that you don't want blinking. First find out WHICH wire controls the blinking obviously. Then just black tape it so it doesn't short out. They have the same bulbs in the same places just that the newer ones have amber turn signals. the older style are just red. You should be able to just pop in the new tail lights and hook the bulbs up in their correct spots. My dads a GM mechanic and he said that they should be interchangable. Don't know for sure. Buy the new tail lights and see how they go together. It SHOULD work. but you know how GM is with some things. They screw lots of stuff up like that. Hope that helps.
