didn't know what topic to put this under, so i guess since it has to do with washin the car i'll put it in appearance
whenever i wash my 97 firebird or it rains, the water doesn't always run off of the hatch and it ends up being a little puddle of water because of that damned ugly spoiler lol. then after it dries there's water spots and it looks filthy. anyone else have this problem?
not me personally, but i can tell you why it happens. as u know when it rains theres dirt there that gets traped in the water drops and leaves the marks. yes i know everyone knows that. but when u wash your car under normal pressure from a water hose it doesn't get all the wosp off you can drown your car but it stays on your paint and causes water spot from the soap. so info but no i use high pressue water and my car just doesn't get dirty so the water doesn't leave marks later. hope u learned soemthing.
ill try to answer it. it sounds like ur car is leaning backwards a little from when it was from the factory. mabee low back tires or suspension going bad in the back or mabee ur hatch is slightly sagging down some from the rubber pieces letting it shut to far down. check ur tire psi, then if that doesnt work screw the rubber a little loser so the hatch raises some or put something to fil the gap. see if ur shocks are worn if nothing else works mabee some air shocks to raise the rear end a little may help. that is a little far for just a puddle but if it annoys u enough go for it.

I dont think it has anything to do with that. My car does the same thing. Theres just no where for the water to go. Whenever I wash my car I just have to use a really high pressure hose to push all of the water out of the hatch area. Now if we had wings like the ta's then we probably wouldnt have that problem.
Its GM's poor design All the Firebirds from 93-present "puddle-up" unfortunately. You can almost take a bath in all the water that lays there. You should not let it lay and dry up if you can help it. The previous owner of my 94 didnt take care of the car much and it permanently stained it.....acid rain stuff :(

I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
