Front plate holder?

Does anyone know that in the state of Ohio if it is legal to have your firebird plate on the front instead of a licence plate?

I thought in Ohio you had to have your license plage, but I have seen a few firebirds and camaros without them? Did something change?

here in jersey you need to have a front and a back plate, it sucks cause right across the river in PA you only need the front. anyway with my last car and now with this car i don't have a front plate on, i think a white/yellow plate looks ridiculous on a black car. i've been pulled over a few times for it, got one ticket for it too, a 45$ fine. also more of a reason for a cop to pull you over

In Ohio you must have their front license plate. They like the extra-cash, and the ease of using a radar gun.

When I got busted by the sheriff the fine was $65.

I don't think they can pull you over specifically for not having a plate, so I guess if you don't like it, be like me and don't get pulled over....

Ha ha! Thanks fellas, I thought that is how it was, But with seeing so many f-bodies lately and no front plate I thought maybe something changed. Guess not. *&@!

for the people in ohio or other states that require front plates:

You could always put your "front" plate on a piece of velt. When the cop pulls you over throw it up on the dash, the felt kinda protects your dash from getting scratched. That way you can have the "bird" plate on the front or your car.

I think... not sure... but the Ohio law is it has to be on the front of the car. :(

In Ohio, you have to have a plate on the front of the car, just putting it in the window won't work. Cops can pull you over only for not having a front plate.

I put my Plate under the car on that plastic air dam part...its STILL on the front of the car...and ive YET to be pulled over for it, and i get pulled over ALOT. Just a suggestion, that you might wanna try.

i have my plate sittin under my passenger seat in case i get pulled over i can put it in the window but i never put it on. i just let the bird show. i havent got stopped for that yet. knock on wood

jason do u have it bent do only the numbers show? or do u scrape cause it doesnt look like theres enough room for the plate. i saw a vette with it like this once with just the numbers and the rest was bent back.
