Anyone tried this tire combo?

285/40/17 rear on 17x11

People have done this before, it works, but remember you cannot rotate your tires if you do that.

i wouldn't waste my money on 17x11's if you're not putting 315/35/17's on the back. just get the 17x9.5 rims and put 285/40's all around so you can rotate your tires.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I will end up going with the 315's. Seems like you get a couple more inches of tire on the ground, and they are actually cheaper to buy than the 285's. Weird!

I think I'll keep the factory 16x8's for winter use, and all other non-snow months put on the larger set. What do you fellas think?
