  • Need Opinions with Paint Matching

Hey. I need some opinions on the colors that I am using on my car, Bronze and Black Metallic and I'm considering lowering it too. I think gold looks pretty good with Sunset Orange versus Silver. Thank you.

Rims: Factory 5 spk. Polish Lip/center cap.

Interior: Door Trims, Bronze and Power Switch Plates Black Metallic

At first when reading your description I was thinking it sounded awful, but after seeing the picture it doesnt look bad at all; I kinda like it.

The only reason I would give not to do it is that later down the road as you start adding other appearance accessories I'd think that having the car in SOM, Bronze, Black, and silver(the lip) would be too many colors or too busy. I do hafta admit that it looks decent in that pic though.

At first I didn't think it matched that well... but after looking at it for awhile, it matches pretty well. I agree w/ AlienInv8r, bronze, black, silver and the car color will make it look too busy if you accent w/ all those. But I like your color choices. I especially like the orange. Looks good.

Not really crazy about bronze as a second color, but the rims came out exceptionally nice! What did you use???

Thanks for the opinions, I don't have any plan on adding decals to the car, so I don't know how busy that going to be. Just gold rims, the front filler bird and the rear Pontiac is going to be gold(all painted). As for silver, I did away most of the silver parts. I think you mean polish parts, but it was a lot harder to paint the rims without a lip.

Oh hockeyman, It all came from a spray can(Dupli-Color). I just spent a lot of time preping the surfaces and wet sanding/buffing. Here is a close up, it still needs to be feathered in.

That is one awesome job w/ just a spray can. You must have spent hours on each rim... Koudos on that ;)
