i'll tell you the fenders are plastic because i ordered a lambo door kit for my car back when i used to show it..when we were looking into it..i decided against it because of mods to the fenders that had to be done..the fenders do not come flat to the door..they flare out to the mirror..this section..along with some metal that attaches the fender to the car would have to be cut away so that the door would have enough clearance to swing up..it can be done (done right anyway)..but as it says in most of the kits..the fenders need to be bent and modified in order to work for your application..you cant do this with our fenders because they are plastic..the would need to be cut..and then to fill the gap you would need to have something made so the door then comes smooth and flat to the mirror instead of flaring out..it would also have to be able to attach again at the section that was removed..i had enough dough for the kit and regular labor..but not for all that body work..so it went back..woulda been cool though!

The fenders are always fiberglass. They can be ABS plastic if you buy them aftermarket.
They have two small metal brackets riveted to them, that's all.
Jesus, what is a matter with some of you that can't tell fiberglass from metal? :rolleyes:99 Pewter Metallic Camaro
SLP Ultra-Z Hood, Shaved Antenna, !mouldings, Chrome Halos, Filled Factory Grill, Y2K 18 R 19 F, SLP Whisper Lid, (functional w/ Hood), FlowMaster American Thunder C.B, QA1 Coilovers, Kuhmo Tires.

There is a difference between "composite ABS" and basic plastic. There is also a difference between using the " " and intelligence.

Ok, "smart" guy. Do this:
1)Look at the 2nd page 3rd response of this thread and see that I wrote Reaction Injection Molded composited plastic.
2)Look at your 1st post on this thread, you said the fender was FIBERGLASS. Then proceed to bash people by asking, "what is the matter with you people...."
3)Look at my response to your 1st post. I was laughing cause you said it was FIBERGLASS, yet you asked "what is wrong with everyone."
4)Look at your preceeding post now. Does that response make sense?? Then you proceed to insult my intelligence??

no you have to reinforce it because it was not designed to operate at those angles, when I say glass I mean fiberglass, and no the window frame doesnt really have anything to do with it, its just alot of weight not being used as designed Im sure it would work fine for a little bit, but stress cracks on the door are bound to happen.
anbd the doors only have to move out about 4-6 iches to lift up
haha steel, you never been in an accident have you, they are fiberglass
