  • Removing "Hump" in back seat

    Hey Guys,
I want to move the Hump in the back seat that separates the two seats. I don't want to remove it completely, just enough so it doesn't stick out above the seats.
That thing is very aggravating for me and my girlfriend, the backseat is too small and uncomfortable already.
Does the drive shaft go all the way up to the top of the hump?
Is it there just for the heck of it?
Has anybody ever done this, attempted it, or givin it some thought?
    Thanks,
    Ron

You need that hump. The driveshaft needs some room to move in there. You wouldnt be able to take enough of the hump out to matter at all. sorry.

why not just move the seats up about an inch or so with eather some kind of fabed spacer or get new seats that are slightly thicker on the foam inside of them. Thats my two cents but then again if it was me I would just stop F***ing in the back seat LOL

Just move to the hood. Or hatch, cramped fun is no fun.

Yeah the passenger seat will work or if you really want to use the back seat you can fold down the back to the back seats and it makes a nice flat surface ;)

                      ...we already said no...

Only way you can do it is if you never want to drive your car again and let it sit in your driveway on cinder blocks. But for that I think it requires atleast a 6" long mullet.

the hump has to stay there, you just need to use a little more creativity - it works in f-bods
