Is this a pain the arse project? What kind of paint would I need to do this and what kind of polish for the rotors?

high heat paint...and polish the rotors?...the second you hit your brakes it will wipe anything of the rotors

I used engine paint. Just cover the calipers and lines up with tape and newspaper, its pretty easy.. Just be patient with the paint drying.

      Oh and use clearcoat..

YES... BE PATIENT! i did it later in the day and got rushed. ended up puttin on 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear, but didnt wait long enough for them to dry... so now a month later, some is coming off already. make sure NO brake fluid is on the calipers and brackets for the removal also. make sure the calipers are bone dry and use a wire brush. sorry to be yelling, but i think if you make mistakes and rush around like i did, youll be just as willing to give "words of advice" like i am.
