I'm sure you'll be glad to hear that my mom just got the complete set from Z1-Z18 minus the leather in a bottle stuff and the kit with the claybar and showcar polish for my firebird and her mustang! I plan on spending my whole day off detailing my car. But, I thought I would get your opinion on something. When should I apply the swirl mark and fine scratches? After I wash my car with a small amount of dishwashing soap, and then of Z-7 (Showcar Wash),or after I put on a light coat of Z-2 (Showcar Polish) after the dishwashing soap wash and the Z-7 wash? .........Hope that makes sense.

I meant for that first line to say that she got the complete set PLUS the kit, but minus the leather in a bottle.

ooo the plus kit, I didn't even get that

First bit of advice I can give is, take your time the first time you do it. It looks complicated at first but its really simple to use, Once you do it right the first time ever you put it on your car, its a cinch from then on out and you can use it pretty much like any car polish.

this is overkill but what I did, it may look overwhelming but most these steps take less then 3 minutes to do.

-wash it with dawn
-wash it with Z7
-clay bar(Z18) with some z7 wash(little more concentrated then normal wash) in a spray bottle
wash real quick again with dawn.
-wash again with z7

Now when applying polish, remember thinner is better, it works better with several thin coats then one thick coat. you can do the entire car with 3/4s of an oz of polish. And people tell me that is too much, that it should be more like 1/2 a oz. You can tell when its dry when it hazes over, you rbu your fingure on it and it rubs clean, doesn't look greasy.

-mix zfx with Z5 and apply a coat, wait 30 min
-wait till dry remove coat of z5
-add coat of z6, don't let it dry, wipe it off immediately after you spray a 2 foot section
-If you have alot of swirls do a coat of Z5, if not do a coat of Z2
-wait till dry remove the coat
-add a coat of z6
-add a coat of Z2
-add a coat of z6 if you want

that is a super thorough way of doing it and how I like to do it. I go a bit overkill because well I only do it once like every 6 months so might as well do my best to make it look perfect

average person...
-wash with dawn
-claybar(z18) with sligh amount fo Z7
-wash with Z7
-apply Z5
-apply z5(if you still have swirls, if not go to Z2)
-Apply Z2
-then apply Z6

applying Z6 between coats is a tip from www.installuniversity.com that I really like.

I think its a good idea to print up and read through the directions from the zaino site here...
http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...S&Store_Code=Z

Also there are some good tips at www.installuniveristy.com right here in there car detailing tips section
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...iling_tips.htm

I know a decent amount of stuff but I am by far not the expert on zaino, I reccomend doing a few searches on ANY questions you have here http://web.camaross.com/forums/forum...?s=&forumid=18 I can gurantee its been asked if you have a question, there are people that own detailing companies that use zaino, zaino distributors, and normal people like us all on this site with tips and tricks. With zaino.

Its not that bad... goes rather quick. And the wash wth dawn, claybar, is only done once to remove impurities so Zaino can initially bond to your car...

yeah, with the ZFX, it goes by really quick. This will be my first time "detailing" it though.
