  • gauges: anyone ever made their own??

Has anyone ever tried making their own gauges before? There's very little selection for the 98+ cars, and I was just wondering if this would be hard to do. I really like the white flame gauges that glow black with only the flames lit up at night. Think it would be possibly to scan a picture of our current layout, and maybe like photoshop and edit the picture to have flames or something? Then maybe print it out with high quality paper/light plastic. I dont have any experience with this, but wondering if anyone else ever has tried it or if anyone knows how. Just looking for ideas, or help with the idea if it's do-able.

well.... for my actual gauges... i bought mine. but for my shifter (auto) I printed them out on my computer and lamonated it. Light does not shin through the paper enough at all to see though it. So u really have to get some gauges. I got flame ones from nuimage

So it doesnt really work out with paper? that kinda sucks. Yeah, I really like the nu-image ones, but they dont have em for '98+ gauges. I emailed a carrier of them and they said they only have them for the 110mph and 150mph speedo. I think I'm going to end up buying a Z28 Speedo and then slapping some of the flames onto that. The only hard part is finding a cluster that has around the same amount of miles as mine. I just figured it would be worth a shot. Has anyone else ever tried making their own gauges??

You can get the mileage changed to your mileage, actually you legally have to do that.
