  • Interior color change almost complete! *PICS*

Okay, when I bought my Camaro in the fall of my senior year (late 2001) it had the standard black/multiple colors of gray plastic with gray carpet and black seats with gray inserts.

The carpet was worn out, the driver seat had a nasty tear on the door side of it, and it just needed somehting different.

I had my uncle re-cover the seats(he does that stuff for a living) and went with black with silver insert cloth. I then bought graphite carpet. That was in the summer of 2002, and I haven't done much to it since. I recently became tired with the multiple colors and decided to slim it down a bit.

Using duplicolor upholstery, vinyl, carpet flat black paint, I painted the door panels(and inserts), all plastic panels except the dash all the way to the rear hatch plastic, including speaker covers. All I have left is the passenger side of the dash, the dashpad(i need a new one, I dont have one now), the top part of the hatch plastic, and changing over my headliner and visors, which will happen next week.

I took all the parts out of the car(including door panels), cleaned and painted them, and I am hoping it stays.

I'll edit this with pic links when i take some tomorrow. So far it looks sweet, I hope you agree.

Good thing you have a fire extinguisher back there! I don't have one so I would have to call the fire department if mine ever lit on fire, but YOU can play firefighter and put yours out and keep going!

Looks really good. Does that paint color both the plastic and the cloth seats? How does the cloth feel after being painted?
I've wanted to make my interior black also, but never looked into it much. Looks good though.

Well, the only cloth i painted was on the doors and the small truck lid in the back. The cloth feels kind of stiff, but i never touvh that stuff anyway.

I just hope the paint lasts.
