I'm not speaking for anyone else..nor not necessarily for myself even,,but how about remembering the past so it doesn't repeat itself again in the future? I bet if some people created a flag for 9/11, many would hang it in rememberance of what happened on that date. Years down the line, there would be people like you who would say 'why hang that flag? That was such a negative historical event."

I'll admit, that's not the best scenario. I'm getting tired. Chances are this will be locked tomorrow. As far as debating, I think you need to be more open-minded and not one-sided. As far as any specific unaswered questions you have, I'm sure you can find the answers to them on the internet.

The Georgia flag was chanegd in 2003.. I believe the one you posted was 2001-3 just off the top of my head.

Mississipi is therefor the only flag with a congederate flag on it... since Arkansas has no confederate flag on it.. just red white and blue.

and as for what the flag means to me, it represents just the southern life. Beautiful southern girls w/ there sexy acsents, i dont really know how to explain it, but people in the south just do things allitle different from lets say someone in New York or where ever. i just dont see a flag that reprsents the KKK or slavery or any type of hate, i guess people down here see it alot different than people in the north

EDIT: by the way, i cant remember ever seeing the flag anywhere without the american flag above it. so, we are not a bunch of american government hating rednecks

If you care so little about his story, then you have absolutely no right to make assumptions and call him a fence jumper.

HOLY COW!!! You guys are so UPTIGHT. Especially SKA and SLP. (SLP cuz he's a cop, and SKA, thats another story). I mean, really, this thread goes from a racial argument to a history lesson on the confederate flag, with some nonsense inbetween. I think you two need to meet somewhere with some boxing gloves. Or, you could both grow up! How old are you guys anyways?? Seriously?? No one really cares about the confederate flag, in the sense where they take it literally as back during the Civil War. I'm a firm believer that racism starts from the parents, and that in order for it to stop, people need to stop talking about it or bringing it up. Everyone should just drop it. They should think to themselves, "hmm...what's this achieving?" or, "how is the way i'm acting/talking making the situation better?" Kinda like what you guys should be thinking when typing in this thread!
