    Possible Blackout lens mod

    Hey I was thinkingm especially from a distance, when you cannot see the lines of the rear end with the black tailights (my car is black too) it looks very plain, I was wondering what I could do to the back of the car to make it a little nice looking... i was thinking somthing that might be neat is to put some kind of symmetrical decal on the lenses.... like two screaming chickens (thunderbird style) or maybe a 3800 decal... not sure what i could do but if anyone has any ideas please let me know, im trying to go with a chrome/black look, so far my car looks like this

    -all black hardtop with chrome winshield wipers (actual metal not those plastic ones)
    -chrome hood pins
    (damn things, forgot to put em in now my hoods all jacked up)
    -chrome c5 wheels
    -chrome pontiac rear insert
    -black tailight lenses/shades
    -clearn front bumper corner
    -painted black rear red corners

    im trying to think of somthing that would help out the rear, maybe show the lines a bit more, chrome trim around the lenses maybe? like outlining them???

    any ideas on what to add to the rear to make it not so plain...all its got now is the pontiac inserts

    i dunno, i was thinking the same thing about my car... black '96 with blacked out taillights, but no inserts yet, so it looks kinda cool all blacked out, yet plain in a way. i was thinking to make it look a little better, i would get 98+ taillights, then use blackout spray and black them out except the circle reverse light thing. just a thought.

    also, you could get chrome overlays for the filler panel between the taillights.

            oh, sorry about that. no i don't yet. since i got the car, it's been raining every day. (just got it a few weeks ago). we've got some good weather coming up and i'm gonna wash her down really good and take a bunch of pictures. i'll get them on here whenever i can.

              sweeeeetness get some chrome rims man, itll look NIIIICE!!!! i love my rims, totally changes the way the car looks. 18 chrome c5's babeee! but the 17s looks great too and are like HALF the friggin price... i shoulda gone with 17s but whats done is done.... lol

                i've been looking at rims and the only ones that fit our cars that i really like that much are the C5's but... i can only find them with chevy logos on them!!! wouldn't look too great on a pontiac. do yours have the chevy logos, where'd you get yours and how much did you pay?

                my car is all black except the stock wheels and the turn signals/side markers... so i was thinking, get niteshade blackout spray and blackout the turn signals/side markers and powdercoat the stock wheels black? i dunno how that would look. then i want a full decal set from autografics.com. i'm thinking red? i dunno yet. tell me what you think i should do.

                  dude dont worry about the centercaps, i have the corvette ones right now too but dude the caps are plastic and you can get blanks for 10 bucks each. im thinking of possibly buying those one day and having screaming chickens engraved into them. i think that woul look tight. dont NOT buy them because of the centercaps though!!! no biggie, ill change mine out one day

                    that's cool, i didn't know they were centercaps... i thought it was all one piece haha. well maybe i'll have to start looking around for a good deal on C5's. where'd you get yours and how much did you pay?

                      i bought mine on ebay, pretty good prices. i think that c5s in 17" are going for like 450 or somthing, thats a really good deal if you ask me, not sure about that though check on ebay, good place to get em...lots of em out there
