• T-Tops, Tagra Top, Sun Roof?

ok guys, here's the deal. Right now I have a coupe. No t-tops, etc.

i'm wanting to do either a t-top, sunroof, or tagra top conversion.

i'm wondering what would be the best thing to do. I've seen the t-top converison and it look extremely hard, but i'm thinking of taking it to a shop to have it done (if i can find one that will do it).

I have also seen a Camaro (i have pictures of it at http://d1.aftermath-gaming.net/camaro/images/tagratopSS.jpg) with a tagra top. It looks SWEEEEEEEEET.

also, would a sunroof (or dual sunroofs) be something to consider?

post your comments, suggestions, and any experience you may have (mtmike :D ) as replies if you would please
i'm hoping to get this done by the end of the year.

its a bad link... let me know how much you get a shop to do it for... I think that's the only way I would do that.

I like how the tagra top looks! Don't get a sunroof. Those are no fun Either a tagra top or t-tops

Whatever you do, dont get a sunroof.
T-Tops are you best bet.

I think thats whistlers car from over on cz28.com.
I doubt your gonna find anyone else with targa tops on a f-body.

your best bet is t-tops.

You can't put a sunroof in a 4th gen very easily because of the center t-bar thats alredy in your car.

T-tops are going to be your easiest option. A targa top would be alot harder than t-tops, because you'd have to all of the same work as the t-top conversion, plus alot of extra, and alot of custom work

T-tops are probably your best bet.

it is actually not that difficult to put a sunroof in the camaro or firebird. my wife does custom interiorsa and power moon/sunroofs for a living and she has done a few on camaro's.it was only about 600$ too, so it isnt all that much. i dont think the targa is really a good choice though. i would think the frame would get pretty damn bent. but the targa is the best looking thing i have ever seen
boost, you got it???

can you supply me with some info and/or pictures of the sunroof work that she has done on some Camaros?

the majority seem to think that t-tops are the best thing to do, so I'm probably gonna go with that, but i wan't to see what the sunroof alternative would be l ike.

T Tops are the best. They are unusual for most cars. They look awesome on F bodies.

...and best of all, they are already built in to your F body. They are just waiting for you to free them from where they are hidden inside your car!

i've seen a bunch of late model f-bodies with sunroofs. looks pretty good, but the t-tops open it up more. if i can do it, you should be able to...

$600 for a sunroof? You can do T-Tops for less.

That Targa Top is pretty sweet. I got T-Tops and they are real nice. If I could do a Targa on my car, I think I would.

that targa top looks f'in awesome
i would do that, only because sunroofs are no fun and most f-bodies have t-tops, it can't hurt to be different ;)
of course, when you cut off your roof you have to probably do a lot of underbody stuff because you're frame won't be as strong and can bend up more easily
