• Clear corner install supplies?

this is NOT a question about the installation process of clear corners. i was wondering if i need to put some kind of sealant on the bulbs or something so they won't fog up? will they be ok if i just put them in? i'm going to be getting them soon and just wanting to know if i need to buy any extra stuff. also i'm still not sure if i'm going w/ amber or clear bulbs, are there any brighter ones i can buy instead of using the stocks ones or the bulbs they provide?

Put Rtv black silicone around where the plastic wsa forged together, and one the outside where it comes in contact with the bumper, You dont have to put it on your paint, just squeeze a nice amount up into the hole and let it dry, If your front ends ever been in a wreck then you will need to do this more. I didnt put the silicone on mine and I went through $45 worth of bulbs in 2 weeks. I also put some around where the bulbs slip into.

Have mine in for 12,000 plus miles. Did nothing special, except disable auto driving lights, and no problems. Have clear bulb in front and amber bulb on side. Interesting effect.

mine fog up all the time. they're the crystal ones so u can see real well. I think if they were the regular ones I probably wouldn't notice the fog.

Although I think I may have damaged them myself when installed them. I kind of forced them in there and I think I may have comprimised the structural integrity.

for some reason, my passenger side one foged up for about a month and a half and then about 2 weeks ago, cleared up. I also have the crystal ones that are easy to see the fogging in. Maybe it was the temperature combined w/ the wonderful humitidy of the south. My guess is it couldn't hurt to put the sealant in. If I ever have to put new ones in, I'm gonna try to seal them.

i'm getting the ones from procarparts. i'll just install them w/o any sealant and see what happens. i would like to get some brighter bulbs though so when i turn on parking lights, i would like them to be as bright as drl's.
