I think is varies from state to state. However most fall under this. Every color except Blue and Red are fine. You can't have those bc they are associated with police and emv. I heard there was some sort of loop if your "bulbs" are showing tho. I'm not a big fan of this look at all, too each his own.http://www.cardomain.com/id/HiWire
1997 Dark Green Firebird
1997 White T/A

The law in Pa, and I think most states is they are illegal because they are not factory. That's how they will get you. They are only illegal in motion though. You can't get in trouble just parked on the street or in a lot. It doesn't really matter on the color of the lights or if the bulb is showing or anything like that here. It all depends on the officer though if they feel like pulling you over for it. Most of my tickets were outside the city in small suburbs. I only got pulled over and ticketed once in the city for them. Drove past lots of city cops with them on in the city though.1997 Camaro RS Convertible
White w/black top, factory chrome rims
Mods so far: Borla catback, Catco high flow cat,CAI,2 point STB,painted calipers and drums with caliper camaro decals,GTS blackout all the around,5% tinted windows all the way around,Streetglow red neon lights inside and under, raised camaro fill in decals on the rear, 30th anv decals, and a nice stereo system
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=275528

Ok red and blue are most def. illegal! But some say they are all and some say they are fine! I have a green underbody on my Camaro and havent had any trouble with the law. I also have some in the interior. No problems. But if the tube is showing there are illegal no matter what color they are!Derek
2002 Metallic Silver Camaro
35th Anniversary

Derek, blue isn't illegal. I've had my kit on since August, and haven't gotten stopped once. My bulbs also show because there is NO space whatsoever underneath Camaros, and I haven't gotten any crap for that, either.
About the illegal part: I was told by a policeman that they're illegal if the bulb is showing because it could cause a distraction, and possibly lead to a wreck. Then again, I've driven past police officers and directly in front of a sheriff without any problems before.1997 Grand Prix GTP

yea cops in CT arent the nicest guys. In most places, you cant have underbody lights on at all while you drive on the street- no matter if you can see the bulb or not- its still a distraction.
camarofanatic- what part of CT are you from? Are you in CTFBA? hit me back--Justin-
Red 1996 Camaro RS- Wrecked 11-1-03...

1991 Camaro RS

blue and red are illegal but not all the cops inforce it. In Indiana i think that blue, red, and green are suposted to be illegal but I have a green ub and nothing has happened yet. It all depends it the cop is going to be a dick or if they just like the neon.Derek
2002 Metallic Silver Camaro
35th Anniversary
