  • Polish or Paint??? Calipers?

    So, my upcoming weekend project... Should I polish or Paint my brake calipers?

    If paint... What color? I have a black bird...
    I am thinking red...

    If polish.... Please send links to sites to give me more info!

    if you have chrome rims..paint em...or else they wont stand out...if just brushed I'd try and polish em...and ya Id say paint em red or even yellow depending on your color scheme

        You said in your write up it will looked liked brushed alluminum right before you use the metal polish. If you were to spray some sort of clearcoat on the calipers at this point, would it stay looking like brushed alluminum?

          hey that looks pretty nice I might do that my self. It's pretty hard to find a color for things like calipers when your car is 'mystic teal'.

            Actually that is one of my good friend's write up. (OhOneWS6 from ls1.com)I would think that you could just clearcoat them and they would stay that way. Who knows, might look good. Why dont you try it.

                Paint them and get the little decals to stick on there! That would look bad *** !
