  • I hit a deer, help me

Last night me and my buddy were cruisin in the cuts. out of nowhere a goddamn deer ran in front of me. My fender isn't bent, at least I can't tell by looking at it, but the paint by the foglights is spider cracking. I don't care that much to fix it, I just want to know how to stop the cracking. could I put on some spray can clear coat to protect it? any ideas? it's a 91 firebird with a Maaco paint job.

I know you said you didn't want to repaint, but something there might help you fix it nice.

Take it to a bodyshop and let them do it... wetsanding and clearcoating (not that anyone who is not a body shop mechanic would be able to as Skapimp suggested) will not fix the spidercracking. It is going to need to be resprayed since it is the paint that is cracking... not the clearcoat.
