• 6 inches wide enough for racing stripes?

I think instead of going with the 35th anniversary kit im gonna let a shop in town put some stripes on instead because ill prolly be adding the warbird hood on my camaro in the summer anyway. They only want around $200. Is 6 inches going to be wide enough? I want to start kinda close together at the nose and then have the stripes going into my hood vents and along the roof and trunk area. Question 2....should i stop at the end of the rear decklid or go all the way down to the bottom of the rear groundeffect. Just want a few opinions on what yall might think. Thanks!

Its really hard to go past the camaro inlay in the back, it takes a good hand to cut that right. Cut a piece of paper 6 inches wide lay it on your car to get a perspective, that should tell you if its wide enough. $200 though is alot, you can get the 35th kit for that, even if you dont wanna keep it it will be the same price.

Don't make it go all the way down the back of the car. I don't think that would look very good, but I really havent really seen it.

DON'T make it go all the way down the back. i saw one that looked like Crap. they were about 6" wide to which i think is too narrow. if anything get the RKsport package for stripes. They are wider but look sweet as heLL. aynway. thats just my opinion.

I agree as well. Don't take it all the way down the back, they look horrible IMO. I drive by a red one with black stripes every Sunday, and it just doesn't look right. I would have them run over the spoiler and down the back of the hatch, and stop within a half inch of the edge. Have it rounded off of course. Like it has been mentioned, just get the RK Sport ones. They do look pretty good. Heck, you've got TTops right, the set you want is only 135 there, you wont need the roof section. The only thing about the RK Sport stripes that I don't like is that they come off the hood. I want a set of stripes that end like the RK's do, except, I want them to stop a half inch from the edge of the hood. Well, those are my opinions,

I think im just gonna go with the 35th ss package after all. I havent seen any around where i live so it'll be somewhat original. $200 + however much its gonna cost to put them on. Should be nice. + if i do get the warbird hood in the summer, then i can just order another hood section i guess.
