Did some painting of my interior....

Since I got the flames in the car I wanted to start working on the drab interior. So I decided to take part of my console out and paint it pewter and then flame it :D I've been working on it off and on for a couple weeks. I put about 20 coats of primer filler wetsanding it in between every 7th coat or so till I got the piece all nice and smooth...no more texture. I put about that many coats of Pewter on and finally laid out the flames and painted them this past weekend.

It now has 7 coats of clear to which I'll add a few more. Then I'll let it sure before I put it back in the car. Next is the whisper lid and FRC's. In the spring I'll be doing the same thing to part of my door panels &lt ;)

Yep..I painted it with my airbrush :D . I just laid out the flames free-hand with with some pinstriping tape then masked off the rest. I had bought some paint that was a pretty close match to what's on the outside of the car.

That is the coolest sh** i have ever seen. i agree with 97chevycamaro, you should buy the parts or have people send them to you and do that for them onlyin custom colors if they want. you could make some money. You have some major talent. my paint job looks crappy compared to THAT. Nice work there. Keep it up and post more pics when you get them. I would love to do this kind of work for people! I had thought of it but wanted to see how mine would turn out. If anyone's interested in something let me know. I'm laid off work right now but only work part-time so I have the free time to do these things.

I do really enjoy doing creative stuff!

yeah...guess I am obsessed :D I cut my own stencil of the bird and painted it with an airbrush on the walls..very time consuming painting all of them :(
