• Removing Door Trim ?

I am debating whether or not I should take off my door and 1/4 panels trim.
I'm pretty sure you just heat it up, remove it, and claybar the remainder of glue away.
If anybody has pictures, please post or give me a link

Thanks,
-The Sandman

Do you mean the bumper guard that runs the length of the car? If so, see my sig, I took it off a long time ago. Used fishing line to "cut" the soft adhesive backing, then cleaned it off with isopropyl alcohol (any drug store) - per GM.

I did this a while ago and had a few issues with the paint underneath. I was very careful when removing it, but it left some marks like it had reacted with the paint.

That is a GM factory WS6 hood, not an aftermarket one.

I thought about doing this a while ago. I began by taking off the bird off the nose of the car. That came off pretty good. Then I took off the "FIREBIRD" letters on the doors, but the paint underneath the letters wasn't the same as my car so now you can still see the outline of the letters on the door. After that I wasn't about to touch the rest of the door molding! I've do have pics but they're not light enough to see the letters. Hope that doesn't happen to you if you decide to do it.

P.S.
Sandman, you still in FayetteNam?

Yep, still in Fay.
I go to UNCP but I come home every weekend, plus I've been on Fall Break.
My car is sitting under the carport right now but it is raining like crazy and the car is soaked. It is so bad here that I had to run outside and put my t-tops on, under a carport!!
Anyways, shoot me an email if you'd wanna get a meet up going, or uh somethin like that
