  • Window tint pics opinions 50%?!?!

In VA the law on side windows is 50%(or at least it was I thought it might have been changed) the back can be done in 35% so I am not worried about that but is 50% on the sides even noticeable? I think 24k had some but I cpuld never get a good pic with the windows up. Is it even worth doing or should I just risk it? Does anyone have a pic?

On my 02 firebird I have 20% all the way around. during the day peopel can somewhat see in but at night no one can see in. the only thing darker that isnt mirror tint is limo which is 5%. Its all against the law but ive never been stopped because of it. A friend of mine that is a cop told me that all u have to do is have a note from your doctor stating "The above patient carries a diagnosis of acute sensitivivty to light. He wears tinted contacts and i also feel tht tinted windows and sunglasses should be considered at all time for his occular protection"

I wouldnt recommend the doctors note, as it will hold up for about 9 seconds. If you are worried about being ticketed, then dont do it. I've had 5% on my car for over a year, and have had no problems. 50% wont look like anything but a dirty window. Most cars come from the factory with 35, so I would get 20% if I were in your position.

go with limo all the way around. I have 15% on the sides and 5% on the hatch and i wish I had gone 5 all the way around now. Been stopped but the cop said nothing about the tint.

50% is a foggy or dirty window, don't even waste your money. I've got 5% and it's dark, I'm actually happy it faded somewhat but it's still under 10%. I've had a couple police mention it and got a $75 fine once but it's well worth the look. I don't see what the problem is other than a cop can't see you, thats why when ever you get pulled over roll down your windows so they can. You should have a feel for the cops in your area to go as dark as you view safely possible. I think even 30% is pointless but get at least 30. Other than the look of dark tint it gives you peace of mind, it doesn't matter whos looking at you cause they can't see you
