  • Am I stupid? . . . Clear corners install?

I bought clear corners, and they didnt come with instructions...so i did a search and found some decent instruction. Well I unscrew the plastic underneath, then unscrewed the old one, but after I do that, people say they are supposed to slide right out? They slide up but they dont come out, there is a bar in the way? right? Am I stupid, cause everyone says this is an easy instal.

I dont know which forums this goes in, sorry

Does the bar have a "U" shape too it? Like
      _______...._________
      ...........|..|
      ...........|..|
      ............--
If so, then just flip the U shaped bar over, and that should release it. I haven't done this install either, but I took the side markers out of a 92 FireBird, and they had clips that worked like this. I think. Hope it helps, maybesomebody who knows what they are talking about will explain it correctly.

Edit: Ignore the dots in there, it't the only way I could get it to look right.

They might be, never messed with a 2002. I didn't have any foam in mine though. Take the lower panel off. I think it had 9 screws. Take the 2 screws that hold the clear corner in. And I went to the front and pushed it back and up, got back under it and pulled it down, took out the bulbs. Replaced bulbs with super white lights, put bulbs back in, put clear corner back up. lined up holes put screws back in before I finished tightening all the way got out and checked make sure they looked good. Finished tighening 2 screws. Put the 9 screws back in the lower plastic piece. Repeat for other side. Don't know just trying to help. Yeah, I looked at my receit for mine it says 93-02, hmmmm. Might just be a tad difference in the install even though they use the same light. But don't take my word on it. I'm sure someone on here should know.

I got all 9 screws out...then the 3 holding the corners in are out...i can slide the markers around in there about a half an inch to left and right, and about and inch up, but they will not come out because of a car.

I know there are more people that have installed clears on 98+ camaros. It seriouslly cant be this hard.

i had the same problem..... what you have to do is get the corner of the light right up against the bar.... take a flat head screwdriver and stick it inbetween the the bar and the light.... then twist it to where it wedges the light around the bar. get what i am saying? it might take a while.... it took me like 2 hours to get mine out and and get the new ones in  lemme know if you get em out man.

I got them at Autozone. They are in the import section. They are APC Super Street Series super white. The bulb is a 194. And the part number is 50.4099.BN

I got the clear ones. Hmmm, that's weird, I don't think they know what they are talking about. I'm not sure but I think O'Reileys carries APC lights too, you might check there. If you can't find them anywhere, I'll get you a set, I'm sure we could work some kind of deal out.
