  • Rear Window Tint?

I need to get my window tinted because I just installed subwoofers and I had my changer moved up behind the rear seat. Where do I get tint?

Look in the phone book for somewhere around you and call around for prices. I don't remember what section it would be in the yellow pages but it isn't hard to find.

OK The lady that had the car before me said that the dealer had the window tinted when it was brand new. A few months ago I had the back window re-tinted for $200.00 And at the top of the window where them little black dots are the tinting did not stick and now it looks silverish at the top. Ask them or you could do it your self, and sand down the little black dots down a little bit before you get the window tinted. And make sure you go to a good place!! TRUST ME AFTER SPENDIND $ 200.00 on the back window and it still looks like **** really hearts.

make sure to get a 1 piece tint in the back. otherwise you're gonna get separation later on down the line.

get limo tint in the back window.... its not illegal at least in texas, to have the back window as dark as u want. Only the windows directly to the left and right of the driver are limited on how dark you can get it done.... i am getting limo tint in a lil bit after a pay off all this stuff.... I had the darkest legaly junk and took it off myself..... didnt feel like paying a place 50-74 bux to take it off
althought the back window took 2 hours cuz it left a shtiload of sticky ****.... used paint thinner and a razor blade...

My hatch is done in 3 pieces. The first piece over the dots is a piece of black vinyl, tell them to do that it looks good. Tint looks like crap over the dots. And the rest of the hatch they had to do in 2 pieces which still looks really good, I have a verrrry thin line but I like the way it looks.

I just got mine done. One piece and he painted the area with the black dots black over the tint on the inside. Looks good and if I don't point it out, you can't tell it's painted.

same thing happened to my back window when i got it tinted. I didn't make it home before the tint had come off the section with the dots. I personally like one piece much more than multiples. I took it back and after a lot of thought, i had them cut it off at the top defrost line (at their suggestion).

Looks great (black dots kind of fade into black tint) and you can't even tell unless you're really close. Also, i have only seen a couple other tinted camaros like this (original look- i've gotten multiple complements). Best of all- only one piece of tint, have never had problems w/ it, and you can keep your sporty dots, lol

                Seriously-looks great!

I too had my back window tinted to hide my subs/amps. It's tough to hide it with that big of a window. Even 15% tint looks lighter when it's in the sun on that big of a window. My back window measured 8% on a vehicle inspection (which I failed... of course) but you can STILL see through it easily on a sunny day. I had the entire back window done for $75 all in one piece. Mine seems to stick fairly well to the dots but I do know people who have had problems with this. My tip: Go to a place that specializes in tinting. That's all they do. Not like best buy or somebody who does a little bit of everything. Get a good installer and he should have no problems tinting over the dots.

Before I had the old tint taken off and the new stuff put on, the old tint was in three sheets. The new tint is in one. Its so funny in California you can have the back window as dark as you want it, but the side windows can only be the lightest tint there is. I dont mean that clear stuff but the next one.
