I always had raised white letters on my 87 Firebird, after the original Goodyear GA's wore out. I thought they were great. You can't get them much anymore.
I'd really like to get 255/50/16's with white letters.I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

OZ I would agree! Everglades that car rocks! I been trying to decide between using 255/50/16 with a good all season tire, or go with having a summer set of ZR1's and using the 17x11 in the rear w/ 315/35/17's.
255 advantage = less cost, good traction.
disadvantage = same set of tires all year round so you need a good set for wet and snow.
315's advantage = good traction, added weight to the rear end. (since they are kinda light back there) can use the old 16's for winter only.
Disadvantage = cost extra, and extra weight.
I did take out the spare and jack. Also wanting to get an alum drive shaft to shave off some weight, along with the lighter dyna batt deal.
What do you guys think? Hard to decide on this one. Thanks,
JAM
02 Firebird GT

I'm not sweatin' weight right now but am itching for the one-piece aluminum driveshaft. I'm a paperboy by trade not a rocket scientist but the physics prfessor's posting in the drive train forum talkin about rotating mass and stuff sounds good to me. I think the performance gain would justify the expense when compared to the other crap i bought! See Sig.
