    no one rides back it takes up weight
    how do i get rid of it detailed instructions would be great. thanks for the help

    Hi! Taking the seat out is easy. First remove the bolts at the base of each seat cushion. Next, you take the seat cushions out of the car. Then, you release the seat back, push it forward and remove the two retaining nuts, then lift the seat back out through the rear hatch opening. You can also take the rear seat belts out too :D Where at in TN are you? I'm in Church Hill.

      mine are taken out...just to forwarn you there is exposed metal there....I fixed this by putting the backseat floormats there....someone else on this board made a cool A$$ thing out of cardboard...looks really good IMO....I just havent had the time :rolleyes: ....really need to get around to that

        im from livingston and i go to school at tech if that helps thanks for the advice what kind of tools do i need and my seat belts are gonna have to come out they are attatched to the back part of the bech seat

          just out of curiousity...how much does the backseat weigh? James (mr. weight reducer) j/k...anyone??

            the bottom of the seat weighs next to nothing (all foam)...the back is wheree alot of the weight is...as well as the seat belts...still not a big weight loss...

              Sandman just posted weights for large pieces. Sorry, but I ddin;t save the link although if you find one of his topics in the appearance section, just go to his website and scout around.

              I know it is surprising, but the number 1 would be the spare tire and jack. I think the reat seat was 20 lbs

                ok when doing this do you have to take out the seat belts and all to get the back seat out or is there a trick im missing
