  • converting to digital odometer

I have searched for the answer for some time now. I currently have a 1996 V6 bird with the 120mph cluster and the regular dial numbered odometer. I am looking to upgrade to the 155mph cluster but the only ones I have been able to find look like they have a digital odometer. Is this correct? Do the V8 birds have digital odometers? And can I make the switch and still have a correct odometer?

If you are going to do the switch then you will loose the track of miles, so you might want to right it down to add to however many go onto the new digital one.
You are also going to have to get things recalibrated if you do indeed swap.

I dont think you can change the milage. I think the miles will be whatever the car you got the gauge cluster from had. So if your car has the exact same milage as the donor car then it might work. So if those have a lot less miles then yours do, then I do believe that will be odometer fraud.
