  • Will White Face Gauges throw off my LED colors?

For a 97 Camaro 125 MPH Speedo will white faced gauges throw the my RED LED colors? If so should I hold off on buying LED's, buy white face gauges / shifter plate / A.C. Plate before I install LED's on the instrument panel?

I think many white faced gauges have their own light system built in, as the light from the original gauges will not shine through.

You can see my new white faced gauages here:

they usually come with their own light system since it coveres your other gauges. If you found a red one then you could get your red leds.

If you just do the white guage overlays it wont change the lighting.

Wait whats the difference between overlays and gauges? I would like some for a 97 with a rolling odometer...

Can someone give me a link to OVERLAYS and a link to WHITE FACE GAUGES?

Overlays are basically like thick stickers that you put on your existing guages. It has clear provisions in it for all of the lighted info, so that the originial light still shines through. During the day, it looks like the numbers and lines are black, even though they are actually clear.

Rough description, but here is where I got mine from.
