  • Dirty rims

I just recently bought some 17" KMC rims for my camaro. i never had chrome wheels before so i dont know a whole lot about caring for them but ill clean them real good and a hour or two later they are dirty as hell mostly from brake dust. i get tired of cleaning them everyday. if i dont clean them for like a week i really have to scrub them to get them clean. im going to buy some disk brake covers to hopefully keep some of the dust off them but is there something i can put on them to make it easier to clean?Meaning some sort of prtectant that when dust or dirt gets on them i can just wash them off with a power waher to get them clean. i know about zoop seal but i dont have $120 to spend on it. ive heard people say they wax them would that help?

Yes definately use like a mothers chrome rim wax/polish. Sometimes if u read closely it will say if the wax repels brakedust. I have the stock 16 inch alloys i could only imagine the brake dust u have.

Put a wax or polish on them.

I put wax on my old rims it helped a little not alot, and I put zaino on my current rims and they repel dust realy well.

Maybe try some other type of cheap sealant like "nuFinish" on your wheels. Just make sure it bonds to the chrome or whatever you have. I know Zaino will bond with pretty much any smooth hard surface.
