  • Seat Swapping Help

Ok everyone, I finally got them.

I got a set of black leather seats out of a 2002 Trans Am off eBay for 500 bucks plus 50 shipping.

I really didn't have the money for them right now, but I figured I wouldn't find a better deal anytime soon with shipping that cheap.

My question is, I really need to know how to install these seats from my old cloth ones out of my 99 Firebird.

I didn't have power seats in my Firebird, and he's sending the harnesses for the lumber and bolster support, and I really don't know how I'm supposed to hook those up, let alone put the leather seats in.

my guess would be that the seats will bolt right in where the old ones were (4 bolt-at corners) if your lucky gm put the wire harness there on all cars power seat or not. if not, im pretty sure all you need is a 12 volt power wire and a ground wire. good luck.

          Has anyone else done this?

I dont even know what I need to remove the seats to begin with, nor how to make sure the seat belts are...still...attached. *ponder*

Yeah, shipping was for both front and back and they look amazing.

Awesome, that shouldn't be that hard.

How about the wiring harnesses...anyone have any idea on that?

Wiring harness is underneath the carpet...they are built into all Fbodies just like the monsoon amp and cd changer wiring.

yeah, the wiring harness should already be under the carpet run to the seat. that's how mine is.

                      Yay! They came today.

They need massive cleaning and leather conditioning, but I expected that.
