I'm going to wax my car this weekend and was wondering, when you claybar, it's unecessary to use a cleaner wax right? I was thinking claybar and then a coat of NXT right after? Is that right?

The clay bar I had bought said keep surface moist with a spray wax when using the clay bar... This was meguiars though. And when it got dry, it was very hard to rub the clay bar over the surface.
Oh, by the way, I felt the clay bar was a waste of money, and that a bottle of rubbing compound and then some good wax after did just as good of a job in half the time.<a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=11856&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">05 GTO</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=2825&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">97 W68</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpai

Way Zaino reccomends, is washthe car with dawn to get alot fo the oils and contaminants off, then go over it with a highly concentrated solution of carwash and water in a spra bottle to keep the claybar lubricated.
Then wash the car again and add a wax.
Its true you do not have to use a cleaner wax after you claybar, but you can and 99% of the stuff you pic up at autozone is a cleaner wax.

and guys, all you need to do to use it is get a 50 50 car wash soap and water mix in a spray bottle. wash the car once with car wash soap and dry it. spray the 5050 mix on a small area, rub the clay over lightly, dry the area, and repeat over the whole car. i usually to one more quick wash and dry over the car and then wax the car however you see fit.
