My next two days I have off from work will be this Fri & Sat, and I'll be painting my salad shooters. I'm sanding them down, spraying about 2 or three coats of primer, and then spraying about 3-5 light coats of gunmetal paint. After all is done, I'm re-polishing the outer lip and clearcoating. I'll take pics along the process and post them when all is finished.

I was thinking about painting my salad shooters as well. What grit sand paper should I use or does it not matter?

I'd probably use ~400 to start with, then work your way to 800-1000 to make sure it's smooth, sand with the fine grit between primer and paint layers as well and it should turn out really smooth. I havn't done it yet but I plan on doing it to my auto-x wheels soon.

Black96V6... what color paint did you use? It looks good. I wanna either paint my rims black or polish them... I have the stock 5 spokes... can't decide but your car looks hot.

black96V6, excellent job on the wheels you painted. do you think there will be much chipping of the paint? Also, what type/brand of paint did you use?
