• *WRECK PICS* - HELP on Parts. PLEASE ! ! !

Ok so, Monday morning I was turning left out of my road like always, heading to school and was blinded, like always, by the sun coming from the east just barrely over the horizon. I saw a break in the traffic heading east so I decided to go(BAD IDEA!). There was a lady coming from the east heading west that I didn't see because of the sun. After I saw her I slammed it into reverse and tried to get out of her way. Too late . . . BAM!

    Here are the pics. :(

Sucks that two days before. Saturday afternoon, I did my best burnout EVER! But life goes on. Here's a pic of the marks.

So now here are the question, I am already going to order the exact same front end as the one I had. I like how it looks and I think I would need the rest of the Trans Am body parts to try to make it look like one(high-rise spoiler, ground effects, hood, etc.) but I also have to get fenders.

I like how the fenders on the newer (98->up) birds with the side vents look so will they fit my 1995 Bird if I order them? I am ordering the stuff new from [www.wholesaleparts4u.com] if anyone is interested.

    Thanks.
    Travis

Did you're airbags deploy? Looks like you just need 2 fenders and by looks of those pics you could get away by reusing that bumper. Now is a perfect time to upgrade to the 98+ firebird.
    Good luck

No! Neither her airbags nor my airbags deployed! That's messed up huh? Well yes, the bumper is connected to the side fenders on the top part and if you look close on the two side pictures you can see that when the bumper was ripped off there was a small 6 by 6 square secion that was ripped off of both fenders in the exact same places.

It will be over $2,000 to get a newer front end 98->up. (hood, fenders, nose, mainly hood LOL)

But do you think the 98->up fenders will work with my new (95) front nose/bumper?

        Thanks.
        Travis.

nope the 98 feners wont match up with the 97 style front clip. i say conversion your gonna hav eto spend the money for fenders and a bumper anyway then get a good aftermarket hood and youll be set

Ouch that sux man. Ive been through the process of trying to find a front clip for my car, it was a PITA. But I tore mine up a whole lot worse than you did. I had to have a new hood, fenders, bumper, radiator, the little crossmember thingy in front of the radiator and a whole bunch of other stuff.

OK, I agree with most of you. It would be bad a$$ to get a 98->up front clip but one, the accident was my fault therefore my insurance has to pay for her car. Two I don't have collision insurance on my car, all I have is liability and comprehensive. So three I have to pay OUT OF MY POCKET for the fixing of my car. I have NADA! My dad is going to go ahead and help me fix it because he knows it is hard for me to get to school/work/around without my car. So I am just going to pay him back.

Again I agree with the conversion, I would if I had enough MOOLAHHH.

                Thanks again.

He's right. The Fneders on 98-02 birds are actually shorter than on 93-97 and i'm sure they're shaped slightly differently along the top.
Been thinking about sticking a 98-02 front end on myself - just that the parts are a little more difficult to get hold of over here (used that is - brand new are no problem, just money!)

Well, I bought brand new parts and the front nose, side fenders, and everything else plus 2nd day shipping came out to be a little over $1200. Surprisingly I looked all over E-Bay and everything and the new parts in some areas came out cheaper. But anyways I just decided to go ahead and get a whole bunch of the parts new and go with it.

I will also be painting the A piller(I think thats what it is called) the part between the trunk glass and t-tops black. I think it will look sweet. I know some camaros have them but I haven't really seen it done on a Firebird. Something new for me.

                      Thanks again.

The A Pillar is between windsheild and doors, so this would be the b-pillar.
Sorry dude, not flaming you or nothing, just for info.

Anyway, I had thought about doing this myself, as my clear coat was peeling over the top.
In the end, I put on stripes and decals, but the idea hasn't completely gone.

Think I might have to photoshop to see what it'd look like.

Will look awsome on your car though.

Go with a 98+ Firebird(not T/A) clip, and thow on a Raptor or authentic Firehawk hood to go with those Firehawk wheels. That would look vicious

Thanks, Antman. I looked at your site and I love the Knight Rider replica that thing is bad a$$. That is what got me into the whole F-body deal. KITT started it all for me as like a junk load of other people.

Thanks again. Parts should be here Wednesday and hopefully done by this weekend.
