Nearly two years in the making and it's finally done! I have completely redone and rebuilt the interior of my 2000 A4 Camaro.
When I first got the idea, I had zero knowledge in fabrication, customizing, and car audio. Not only did I want to prove it to myself, but I also wanted to show that anyone with an idea and determination can go a long way.
I'm currently in the middle of compiling all the research and info that I've gained over the past two years and putting it into a organized site. There are many, many 'How To's' on the web that are just amazing. Instead of my writing ANOTHER 'How to' I figured I'd take out the leg work and put it all in a "What Next" guide instead.
So if anyone's interested, please let me know! That way I know if it's worth putting up a site
like this.
My goal was far from easy though...
I wanted a redone and slightly redesigned interior to look nearly stock, keep the flow and theme of the car and as well as bring in the exterior to the interior. But, most of all, still remain functional.
Brief summary on what exactly was done with the interior:
-Layed down 100ft3 of BQuiet Extreme Sound Deadener
-Converted ALL interior bulbs to LED's (Gauge Cluster, Shift Indicator, Doors, HVAC, Map).
-Installed White Face Overlays (Gauge Cluster &Shift Indicator) from MacEwen MotorSports.
-Installed carbon fiber pedals from RK Sport &leather shift knob from Ichibahn.
-Modded radio bezel (built custom dual din mount) to accommodate:
Pioneer DEH-P750MP Premier CD Receiver &
Pioneer DEQ-7600 15-Band EQ
-Modded shifter bezel by 'shaving' out cup holder, ash tray, cigarette lighter, and storage gully.
-Installed switch panel in shifter bezel where cigarette lighter and storage gully originally were.
-Custom built kick panels that house 6-1/2" Infinity Kappa 63.5i 3-way speakers.
-Modded doors to house 6-1/2" Infinity Kappa 60.5cs component speakers and 1" tweets.
-Modded rear sail panels to house both:
6-1/2" Infinity Kappa 62.5i 2-way speakers &
6-1/2" Infinity Kappa 60.5cs component speakers and 1" tweets.
-Custom built / modded rear deck to house:
SubThump T-Top Box that holds three 10" JL Audio 10W0-12 subs.
-Installed Rockford Fosgate Punch 501S Amp (powering all the JL's at 500 Watts RMS Bridged).
-Installed Rockford Fosgate Punch 501X Amp (powering ALL the Infinity Kappa's at 62 Watts x 8 in parallel).
-Smoothed Deck Side Sail Panels
