So the third brake light is LED? I thought it was just bulb based.

Can you take the light out of the spoiler? If so it shouldn't be too hard to rig something up.

The stock spoiler lamp is (2) standard bulbs behind a red lens that measures maybe 3-4'' across, its what you have I'm sure. The SS lamp is an approx 10'' long, approx (25) white LED strip behind a red lens. They are completely different assemblies. Click the link in my sig for a clear picture of what the SS brake lamp looks like.

I've never seen one of these assemblies taken apart, but does it look possible to remove and solder on a new LED? If so, you could probably fix it for a few dolars spent at Radio Shack.

If I paid shipping, would anyone be willing to send me theirs to look at? There aren't any junk yards close to me but I would still like to look at one to see if it could be repaired.... if so, I'd be willing to help you guys save some $$$ when these things go out.
