Anyone put colored bulbs in clear corners??

If so, what color? I finally got around to getting one clear corner in and was messing with different bulbs. I had a small red bulb and a purple one. I tried each one out (with the larger chromed amber bulb) and the colors looked great. So then I thought, if I had both bulbs the same (or sililar colors) in each clear corner, it would look awesome. Only thing is.... it's ILLEGAL :( Is anyone doing this and have you been ticketed or given a warning?

before I got my clears in I had the orange lenses with red bulbs and that looked good but when I got the clear lenses and put the red bulbs in I didn't like them because they look pink. Now I have orange ones in for the little bulbs and clear white bulbs for the bigger ones

I'm sure the typical red and blue will cause problems with cops on the highway, and anything but amber might give you problems with an inspection. (Of course you could trade the bulbs out before inspection)

Township and State cops have a BIG problem with different colored turn signal bulbs! Yellow up front and red in the back is common law. I have clear corners on the front of my camaro, but they have yellow bulbs behind them to make them legal. If you live near or in a city, 9 times outta 10 the cops are too busy with other crime(s) to worry about minor things like that (unless that person is acting like a butthead).

my clears have clear bulbs.

TO play it safe, just get amber bulbs.

OR, even better, get amber LED's, that way they still light up amber, but you cant see the amber bulb behind it.

Uhh, no. The person DRIVING the car, acting like an a$$ gets pulled over, and the city cop will write as many tickets to break their balls...including different colored (illegal) bulbs.

Same here. I put amber bulbs in mine. You don't see them unless they're on, otherwise everything still looks clear.

I got Silverstars for the big ones (local autoparts). I got the little ones from an ebay seller, couldn't find any of those locally. I think the bulb number was 941. If you get the bulb number, and do an ebay search for that and amber you should get plenty of hits.

I used to put the orange ones in, from the dealer too. Even though it cost more, it was way more orange looking. And a regular non-orange 5 watter 894.

Now I have Silverstars in them. Pricey, but looks good. And for the 5watt 894 little bulb, I put in an LED white bulb in there. I tried the orange bulb, it looks good, but I like the "two tone" color. If you ever see a Tahoe with the DRL in your rear view mirror with the signal/s on, you'll see why I like the 2 color look.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll experiment with the coloring. I'll probably end up going two-tone amber/white for regular driving and change the bulbs (different color) for shows/cruise nights.
