insurance gave me $475 for the dent in my stock hood, - my $100 decudable, so $375 total, and i bought the hood used for $300, painted yes, and its darker than my car, so i gotta get it painted to match.
But it definately is a genuine SS hood, not a reproduction. Working ram-air and everything.
looks good man just wish my damn SS hood looked and fit as good as your's. I knew I should have spent the extra money and just went down to chevy and bought the real thing from them but no I had to be cheap and get that crapy hood from fibergalss fabricators inc.
thats what im talkin bout...looks sweet man...you planning any other exterior mods?...a set of racing stripes would look sick with that...but kicks @ss as is...nice
1DangerousV6, yea, im plannin on doin rear disc conversion (toss on a Z28 axel) then do rims (cant do rims with rear drums, id kill myself). Chrome Z06 rims, 17's, but thats summer time. I want to get like a 35% tint all around, and possibly stripes, but i may end up just getting that black triangle decal that comes out of the SS scoop, cause i dont want the whole car to be striped really.
Zahn, didnt get the airbox with it, but i might make one up, im not sure yet, i do really like my SLP intake.
And we'll see what engine work brings this summer, but itll be AT LEAST deep deep 14's by the end of summer.

No way. I absolutely HATE the look of any ground effects on a 93-97 Camaro. Even the RS's look like crap. Its mainly the front piece. I would love to get the rear SLP Center section exhaust kit, with the rear ground effects, but i dont think it would match w/o everything else.
yeah i actually like mine better without ground effects...i dunno why...just my opinion i guess...anyways dude tint and chrome Z06s will look AWESOME...and actually now that you mention it i think just that black triangle piece for the hood would look better than stripes...also...i would definitely make up an air box for the hood...it made SUCH a difference when i went from ram air from the bottom to my hood and air box...the ram air on the bottom blocked a portion of my radiator...and also on a hot day...i think it picks up the hotter air sitting just above the black top...from the top is awesome...in this colder weather you can REALLY feel it...anyways...its gonna rock man

i like the gfx front piece on the 93-97 models much more than on the 98+. usually its the 98+ pieces that have to come up in the middle, the other ones are flush straight across. dont get me wrong... most gfx look good on both models. we all know that. theyre just expensive for a little bolt on (or stick on) appearance modification.
^^yeah i defninitely like the way they look better on 93 - 97 also...i still dont think they've really gotten one out that fits the front end right except for that special edition camaro sold at the Berger lot
Ian...if you havent already..check out www.3rdgendecals.com (thats just the name...they have a ton of stuff for 4th gen) ..if they dont have anythning i dont think making one would be too hard
