Ive been using the turtle wax spray bottles, and it kind of works, but I think theres room for inprovement. Also when I went out in the rain yesterday I got a bunch of little white circles everywhere from the raindrops and they just dried onto the car like dirt. Is this from the wax? Anyone recommend anything for a black car?

yeah, definitely dont use turtle wax. An excellent off-the-shelf wax is Meguiars NXT. I use that during the winter months now, and sometimes in the summer. For shows and when I want it looking extra good I break out the P21S wax and polish, which is generally most of my summer when I have more time. But NXT protects nicely, goes on easily, and smells cool too.
Do a search for listings in the past, as well as check out autopia.org for stuff on detailing your car better. It's an art in itself.AIM: Alientr8tr
1998 Camaro 3.8L
Flowmaster 80-series, !FRA, Eibach Springs, KYB AGX, SLP sway bars, 3.42/LSD, Wings West kit, Z06 Motorsports, Silverstone Metallic paint
Shift 5 - My Band

Zaino is where it’s at, 2 days at breaking your *** laying down coats then you get 3+ months of protection. If you can't get or don't want to spend the money on Zaino try Meguiars NXT, lasts about 2 weeks at best from my experiences even with the "booster" spray wax. I don't have the time nor the patience to lay down wax every 2 weeks so naturally I went with Zaino.2000 Pontiac Firebird

I use Zaino...(Its great stuff but more money and work at first(but when you break down buying everything individually of a full detail setup, price is not that bad, but a long time, and you actually spend less time keep your car clean, at least in my experience) it goes on great comes of great and makes the car much easier to keep clean.
Lots of people seem to love NXT, its found at most stores, Lots of people love it for its ease of going to the store and buying it, instead of finding a distributor or buying online.
Then I think people use mequiars gold class. I never paid much attention to it.
There are other sealants and high end carnuba waxes like Klasse poorboys, etc... They all work great.
As for autotopia.org, feel free to go there but most of them do not like Zaino, and if anyone stands by Zaino they call them a Zaino Zeolot, thing is I call that a good thing, which other car cleaning product out there is a name spread around the internet about how someone will stick with that product and not use anything else since they started using it?
but use what works for you
I have tons of pics of my car, in the link in my sig, and on page 3, I have a small write up and pics of my car over the months.

Zaino isnt a spray, its a few small bottles of differently formulated liquids.
About 1 oz (a little less than a shotglass) will do your whole car. So yes, its expensive, but mine lasted about 9 months, and i have enough now for 4 years worth of wax for like $80 (the starter kit)
It is BY FAR the best in terms of shine, durability, gloss, depth......everything. Expensive when you first start out, yes (who wants to drop $80 for wax) but each coat lasts for a longass time, and the whole kit will last for a long time too.
Zaino does have a detailer spray, which brings it right up to 'just waxed' looking after a wash.
